Experimenting

Something I have never done before. This is a composite of two photos taken of the same scene. One is quite regular 2-minute exposure at ISO 800, the other a 3 min 50 sec exposure at ISO 400 with the star tracker feature of Pentax K-1 on. Far from perfect, as the stars on the edges become lines even though I cropped about 30 per cent of the height and width. Not because of the star tracker though, as the middle part is perfect. Just too wide a lens for that long exposures. But it was experimenting and I learned something!

The day was chilly, but sunny. In the evening the temperature went down to -6°C.
