Unity

Visited one of Gaudi's houses in Barcelona today, but the main spectacle was actually the thousands of people (police estimate was 300,000) who took to the streets to counter the previous celebrations of Catalan independence. This one was MUCH larger, with a much more varied demographic, and had a much more carnival atmosphere. The police were out, but only to block the roads to traffic.

I've never seen so many people in the same place before. With all the Spanish flags on display, it was extremely colourful, too.
