Woodland Walk

Today dawned bright with a distinct nip in the air - just right for a walk in the woods. It was quite an eventful walk too. 3 deer crossed the path not far in front of us. Needless to say, no sooner were they there than they were gone again - not even time to lift the camera to my eye. Molly then found a dead squirrel on the path. I didn't turn it over but it didn't seem to have a mark on it. A sad sight.
On the way back we heard a tremendous commotion in the tree tops. Looking up I saw some crows chasing an owl. It landed briefly, high up in a tree but quickly took off again when the crows came in for another attack. Quite an eventful walk!
