Sun Temple
You'd be forgiven for thinking this shot was taken during the summer but then you remember we didn't have one. I do love cold mornings like these when there's not a cloud in the sky and sun is low shining brightly. However, upon saying that the cold was biting this morning and causing some discomfort to my knee which I damaged in a fall a few years ago. If I'm to continue to cycle during the winter months I think I may have to invest in a knee sock :-/
This is the Sun Temple at the Riverside Park which apparently was inspired by the Sun and Earth. It's the most prominent feature of the gardens within the park and stands more than 3 meters above the pergola at its eastern end. The roses in the foreground made me resist converting it to mono but then I have done a few of those recently. You can see a close up shot of the Sun Temple here.
I'm still ridiculously busy but looking forward to taking some much needed time out to help a friend celebrate her 40th birthday this weekend. Happy Birthday Vic X
