Shallotte, NC
This town is pronounced Sha (with a short "a" like ah) lote (with a long "o" like in oat, and the "e" goes with the end of oat as tuh). I am sure I could go back when the wind is not gusting creating a wind chill and take more photos than the 5 I did and using various settings, but the idea was to capture the golden arches of McDonald's, the lighted cross, and the US, NC, and McDonald's flags at full staff on the right. This is on Main Street in the town, and I found the connection of the cross, arches, and flags to be somewhat amusing, but perhaps so small town America or at least small town South.
