New Kitchen

I had to drop Miss E off early this morning to get to Miss L's school in time for her Fantastic Fiesta Friday (which is a new thing and I had no idea what it was until getting there!)
All the parents met in the school hall and then went off to their child's class "for an opportunity to share their learning".
In Miss L's case this consisted of re-enacting the Romans invading Britain and the Celts being jolly scared. And hungry!
It was very sweet!!
From there I went to Wickes to talk to the man about our kitchen quote. I'd sketched out what we wanted and the quote pretty much matched it. I think it looks fab!!
The price is OK, about what we expected. They can obviously see us coming a mile off because he's quoted not only for the kitchen but for someone to come and take the old one away, do all necessary plastering and tiling, plumb in the taps and appliances and fit the new kitchen. Obviously we don't have to take them up on that but when I think of trying to find a plaster/tiler/electrician/kitchen fitter and co-ordinate all the work it's sooooooooo tempting just to get them to do it all and accept that we will pay through the nose for it. We'll see.
Home for a few hours before heading back to Miss L's school to watch her play a team from Miss E's school at hockey. The class she would have been in had she moved!!
It always feels odd when they play each other!
It was freezing and I was glad to get in for a quick cup of tea once they'd finished.
Not too much skill on show - they're all so focussed on getting the ball! It's hilarious listening to the PE teachers shouting "Don't tackle your own team!!!!!" and trying to get them to move into some space rather than every single player on the pitch being within a two foot radius of the ball!!!
Then it was to Miss E's school for tea, smoothies, Polos and crisps in the cafe. It was still freezing so I sat inside while the Little Misses and friends played outside.
