Monuments

As we often do on our Sabbath, took a road trip - with daughter and grandkids this week, to Mérida in Spain, the city that was the most important Roman city in the Iberian peninsula, and still preserves more important ancient Roman monuments than any other city in Spain, including the longest of all existing Roman bridges. 

Be all that as it may, my blip is Allegra at the first bar we stopped at for a drink - it was hot! And my extra is Zion on the island in the middle of the Guadiana River, next to the Roman bridge, with evidence of his Nana's vandalism tendencies (well, never did it with a boyfriend, so might be my last chance...); added the date later - will be fun to see if it's still there when/if we go back...
