We wouldn't normally get up at 5:40am on holiday, but today was a special exception.
We arrived at the Kennedy Space Centre about 5 minutes before the delta 4 rocket launched GPS 2F-3 into space. By the time we'd cleared the bag check and bought the tickets the 90 second count-down was booming over the site P.A., and we made it to the viewing area with literally seconds to spare.
This is one of the few photos i managed to take, and with all things considered i'm pretty happy with it. The rocket is actually far gone at this point, leaving contrails in its wake.
