Mentawai

This morning I went to an exhibition of photos of the Mentawei of Indonesia. The photographer, Guy Needham, gave us a private talk on his time with the tribe. The men of the tribe were particularly fascinated by the photographs of themselves and were apparently queuing up to have their portraits taken!
