Light Horseman

Out walking this morning I inspected a statute that suddenly appeared near the main street. I think it has something to do with the Battle of Beersheba (not sure of the spelling) which was the last Light Horseman Charge of the Great Wars.
Spoke to the bricklayer (working on Sunday!) who said he had to lay granite slabs in the footpath behind us which told the story of the charge. He had to have it completed by Tuesday as there was to be an official opening. Should be interesting
