Something New

I want to try doing some decorative carving on my wood projects, so I bought a Lee Valley beginner's set of carving gouges for a very reasonable price. They aren't are as sharp as claimed, but that can be taken care of.

I did a quick bit of honing by hand and started playing with a couple of gouges. Although they need a bit more work, I can already tell I'm going to enjoy learning how to use them.
