George's Birthday Bash

Our esteemed organist and choir director George is celebrating a Significant Birthday and invited family and friends from every aspect of his life, numbering over 200, to a big party at the church. 

Instead of gifts, George suggested donations be given in support of the Mamie Martin Fund, a charity which enables girls in Malawi to receive secondary education which would enable them to work. Uneducated girls remain in the home performing household chores and may experience marriage and childbirth when still young.

Here he is at the organ, complete with birthday balloon attached. playing Toccata from Symphony no. 5 Opus 42 No 1 by C M Vidor. This was followed by a delicious buffet lunch and musical renditions from the many guests, including our own church choir.
