Shadows before Sunshine
I woke to a misty morning and as much as I love my work, I'd have loved even more to have been up an hour earlier to spend the day in valleys and trees and moorland.
To watch the newly coloured Autumn trees emerge from the mist as it rises, evaporates in ghostly wisps to leave behind dew soaked webs and a crisp clarity for the rest of the day.
Instead I had a moment to capture what I could before catching the train and watching what I could, pass by through a grime streaked window.
But those few moments and the walk from the train to the office were enough, and a reminder that crisp mornings really are the best.
