Chinchón.....near Madrid

Chinchón is only 45 km from Madrid.....but is worlds apart!
Visiting this small town, is like going back in history, it is charming and rather ramshackled!....

the heart of the town is unique in that its Plaza Mayor is circular.....with tiered balconies.....and at Fiesta time it
is converted into a temporary bull ring
the traditional wooden coloured boards, shown in my Blip, are to protect the spectators
.....there had been a 'garlic fiesta' earlier in the month, and the bull ring was being dismantled today.
