Gorgeous autumn day

In the autumn this has to be my favourite area of the nature reserve. The reserve includes beech woods on either side of this lane, known as The Crong. On a day like this it's tempting to wish that these wonderful colours could be present all year...but the leaves have to fall and nature has to move on. No doubt I'll feel the same about frost-etched seed-heads in a few weeks time!
