The New Clearances: #landgrabs

Am Dram excitement in the office today for the launch of our new campaign on ending landgrabs, where small farmers are thrown off their land, often at short notice and violently, as a result of big companies buying for investment or to grow cash crops like palm oil and biofuels. Caluna and Ryan and baby Hamish (good job nobody looked too closely) were dressed up and rubbed with burnt cork.... I can confirm those bundles really were pretty heavy, no wonder Ryan looks so grumpy. Anne suits a hard hat too.

There was a fair bit of interest in Buchanan Street with people coming to ask about the campaign and talking about the Highland Clearances. And we got on Reporting Scotland!
