Paperback Writer

I love reading and I came across this fact the other day. There are almost half a million words in our English Language - the largest language on earth, incidentally - but a third of all our writing is made up of only twenty-two words. This is a blip of the Resource Centre where the students study and revise I nipped in this morning before they all appeared. Another little quote which always put a smile on my face was: Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read. ~Attributed to Groucho Marx.
