Waitūkei sculpture

I popped into town this morning for a haircut and on the way home stopped in the Government Gardens to photograph this beautiful sculpture that was commissioned as Rotorua's main millenium project. The two figures, one male, one female, were inspired by the mixing of Māori and European cultures in Rotorua, with a modern twist.
The extra shows them in a straight photo but I wanted to try the Pep Ventosa technique of shooting in the round to give them an impressionistic feel. This technique is still very much work in progress but enjoying what evolves.
