Cumbria Here I Come

Following the path

Have had a day off today and as it was a nice day, headed out to Fellside nr Caldbeck just inside the Lake District National Park. I haven't been there for a while which is a shame as its one of my favourite walking places.

As I had Bonnie with me it had to be a level walk so we headed in the direction of Roughton Gill. The views and cloudscapes were amazing and the becks were in full flow. We didn't go all the way to Roughton Gill and as we turned back we met a couple with two male collies. Well Bonnie couldn't believe her luck, she flirted outrageously with them and got quite skittish, something she's not done in a while!

As we got back to Fellside we popped into a house for coffee with a lovely lady I'd met earlier. She was a great character and knew how to tell a story and I was really pleased to have met her and promised to visit next time I'm in the area.

The view is looking up Roughton Gill and its a very pleasant route, all you have to do is follow the path on the left which winds its way around the fells.
