Happy days ...

Horses

I have always loved horses, and enjoyed many happy holidays from the age of about 10 years of age, with a very dear friend who had two horses. We used to ride around the Gt Saxham and Barrow villages and had hours of fun on her farm. In those days we had no hard hats, thought nothing of being out all day riding miles wherever the fancy took us and looking back did some quite dangerous things on her farm. No mobile phones in those days!

I remember once when we were riding bareback together and we both came off in a heap as the horse bolted for home. Liz, my friend was not bothered about her own safety but unbeknown to me she had Fred her mouse in her coat pocket. He was fine too. It was a long walk home.

The beauty of living in Moulton is that you only have to walk about a quarter of a mile to see wonderful horses grazing in the fields. These were so friendly and Splash is getting used to be snorted at by them!
