My friendly gecko
So we flew out very early this morning to Tenerife and caught the ferry to our winter home where the temperature hit 38 Degrees this afternoon. We haven’t been over here for eight months and the wildlife have moved in. I disturbed this gecko when I opened the balcony doors to the balcony and a kestrel has been roosting on our balcony under the eaves. Two cans have exploded in the kitchen cupboard, a tin of chopped tomatoes and a can of tonic water. How did that happen? My husband wonders if two different metals reacted to each other, it made a lot of mess. It hasn’t rained at all since we left and there was a thick layer of Sahara dust on the outside surfaces. I cleaned the front balcony this evening and the gecko was just sitting there, I didn’t get too close with the vacuum.
