Finished!

These socks are finally finished! Usually I knit short socks, but a friend south asked me to knit her some long, cosy, winter ones. They live down south, but her husband is coming up to Orkney in the next couple of weeks, so I had to get them finished. Had so many orders for socks for Christmas that these got a bit forgotten about!

It has been very cold here today, but lovely and sunny and bright. A change is on the way though, and every one is battening down the hatches and preparing for wintery gales. The farmer has been over putting out extra hay for the horses in case he can't get across tomorrow! Think I might need to keep these socks for myself!
