Books for the long winter nights

Eclectic choice for the long dark nights.

We both slept late - not so much a post-Thomas dip, more a post Ailie and Chris supper with wine catch up. They’d had a great trip and did the wee trek up to Poon Hill for the views. However Ailie found it much busier with tourists than when she was there 11 years ago. It’s good though as I thought people might be taking a while to go back after the earthquake. Apparently, like everywhere else, there’s a lot of Chinese business activity.

I’ve been to the gym as a penance for last night’s indulgence. Now I’m off to do some work on my Kyrgyzstan book.
