National Poetry Day
Oban late morning, gentle shower of rain. Hermione enjoying her outing, having been neglected of late. Since H arrived, been using his car. But by the time I got 'home', the ground was covered with at least two inches of hail. Must have been quite a downpour north of Oban.
Today is National Poetry Day, theme "Stars", and try as I might I failed miserably in getting a starry pic for today. But here's my contribution to the event....
starshine
shoobydoobywah-la good morning ....
starshine
what kind are you
ancient lights
barely moving
your patterns
established
in some other
time
are you still there
did your light
go out
before mankind
raced
across the earth
before Atlantis
went into
decline
will Aquarius* rise
will mankind
stop racing
and learn
to be
to be kind
in time
let the stars shine ...
starshine
*In astrological terms, the age of Aquarius is an era of some 2,150 years. Depending how it is calculated, the age is current or imminent. Some believe it affects the rise and fall of cultures and even civilisations. Words like freedom, noncomformity, technical revolution, idealism, and humanitarianism but also change, upheaval and irresolution are all associated with it. Did it/will it all come to pass? As many opinions as there are Blippers I'm guessing.
