The front door is B******* ,this is a technical term for not working ,the lock is gubbed ,another Glasgow technical term.
All is not lost though the benefit of living in a small village is you are never more than 10 yards from a reputable tradesman.
Luckily the lady who has bought the house next door to us has a son who is a Joiner and Builder so he is gracing us with his presence later.
Might be a new door needed though
