Mickle Melody

Alarmingly, I am singing a part solo, and in front of lots of people. Oh dear.

It’s Middle English. I shall have to look up what “mickle” means.

The words are set by Gustav Holst, who loved old folk tunes and plainchant. His setting is rather good.

I shall just have to hope that people will not be taking the mickle following my attempt at this. I prefer being part of the background harmony.
