Window on Autumn

We moved here, to this newly completed house, in 1976 and assumed that we'd move on after four or five years! Sometimes I wonder if we'll move in the next few years .... would we like to live in Glasgow's West End; or in Hamilton; or East Kilbride or the South Side? Would we find it more convenient to live in a flat? What could we afford?

We don't need to close our bedroom curtains; we aren't overlooked; and when I wake up on a morning like today's and this is what I see from my bed, I wonder why I'd even think of moving to the city or to an apartment building.

Wait until we're snowed in in January and I'll think differently!
