A proper sort of garden
Chloe has a delightful little back garden, which has produced all manner of veg this year. Her upstairs neighbour with whom she shares it (his bit is to the right of the low trellis) is even trying to grow saffron - you can just see the pots of it on the little table at the back. We didn't hang about though, but headed north as soon as we had had a coffee and packed up. First time (and probably last!) I've ever driven the entire length of the A1 from that London to Edinburgh. There were some tedious queues and hold-ups, but we eventually made it home and chose to complete our day with a couple of pints of Joker in the Carriers (while the immersion heater was doing its thing), followed by a long bath.
