Home office
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.
Refreshed, I realise that there’s a circuit breaker that I haven’t checked. I reset it and the Barn has power once more. Nothing trips when we turn on the faulty circuit. The mystery continues.
Back to work. There’s a load of things to be done, so I make a list and start doing them. The day is punctuated by phone calls, emails, hot tea (jasmine and rooibosch) as you might expect. I even have lunch.
Boron comes round at tea time. I break out the chocolate gingers and then we take a look at the Barn. There’s nothing to be done - electricity courses effortlessly through every circuit. His advice: wait until it happens again.
Tea is an unimaginative selection of Mediterranean dips that I got from the reduced section at Straiton - cold, quick, and dull. I do some personal tax drudgery and watch the end of Out Of Sight.
