Fly

I had an after work appointment that finished reasonably quickly.  Usually I'd have gone back to work but today I decided to go straight home.

It gave me time for a wander around my section (can't call it a garden, it's pretty awful).  I was looking for a bee or hover fly or butter fly.  All I found was this little guy.  Clearly  my garden doesn't contain anything to attract the more attractive critters.

I nearly over looked this one too, he was so tiny.  Not even a centimetre long, yet with all the same characteristics of his bigger cousins.  

Cool eyes though.
