Rat!

After our day with Dianne Owen yesterday, we stayed overnight again, and then spent the day at Martin Mere, a nature reserve nearby.

It wasn't cheap to get in, but we had a great day (and a lovely lunch) and didn't leave until just before 4pm.

We were sat in a bird hide and noticed this rat was up on the bird feeder stealing the bird food.  As we watched, a woodpecker turned up, took offense, and started pecking at the rat (better picture of this in the extra). The rat wasn't impressed, but kept on eating.  The woodpecker gave up after a couple of goes and ate on a different feeder.  The rat was still up there when we left...
