In the Fall Garden

Yesterday the temperature here was 101 degrees; felt like you walked right into a pizza oven. The cats were stretched out longer than I've ever seen them. Today it was overcast all day and never got much above 60. The laundry was still wet by late afternoon. Such extremes are hard on all of us: humans, animals and plants.

Seed pod from highly invasive but very charming Love-In-a-Mist. Flowers are usually a creamy blue, sometimes white or pink.
