Mellow

The afternoon sun warming the stones of Melrose Abbey, and a luxuriant creeper clothing the wall of Priorswood garden.  

Next to the house (see extra) is a very mature orchard. Apples, crimson, golden yellow, acid green weighing down the lichen-crusted trees, or scattered over the sodden grass by the gales of last week.

And the sun shone, and it was warm. Perfect Autumn day.
