The local tip

Busy weekend raking leaves scattered by Autumn and Storm Brian - how can a storm be called Brian?!!

So, Midday, roof down on the car and load all the leaves and grass cuttings up for the trip to the tip.  It's a real advantage having a convertible - not the Morris, I would never use that.  Just get the roof down and get the Hippo in the back and fill it up with the bags of stuff.

The tip fascinates me.  We all queue up and then the first split is between general rubbish and garden/building waste.  Those of us on the garden run then back up and carry all our bags to these strong metal skips which I guess are then transported to some great big compost heap.

Seems to work.
