Panto moment

For anyone who isn't British, this is Pantomime. The lady in the seat is the Principal boy (who is a girl) and on her lap is the Principal girl (who is a girl). Off stage are the Dame, (who is a boy) and the comedy sidekicks who are boys and oddly are also played by boys.

The story is roughly, happy villagers get sad for some reason, principal boy makes it all OK while falling in love with principal girl. Dame and comedy sidekicks make us all laugh and in the end there are one or more weddings. This one is Mother Goose but to be honest it could be Aladdin, Cinderella or many more as the plot is pretty much the same.

But, It makes children laugh at the clean Jokes, Adults laugh as the not so clean jokes and is a Christmas tradition that has endured for hundreds of years,

So "All Hail the Panto !"
