Summer's last hurray

Over the past week or so, we've had a little bout with autumn, but today, summer decided to have a last hurray: temps rose into the 80s and the infamous Washington humidity made a comeback.

These two were enjoying a smoothie and each other's company. What drew my attention was her hair: love it, love it, love it! On that topic, I went to my hairdresser's today after the gentle urging from the homeless guy I spoke to a few days ago (see my blip of sept 30) and am now back to being a platinum blonde. Let the fun times begin (or as they say in New Orleans: laissez les bons temps rouler) :)
