Adelyn's 1st Birthday

Adelyn's mom is Logan's age and she and her two sister's have been our neighbors for most of Logan's and her life.  Always the best of neighbors, Alison was our pet sitter from about 5th grade into college.  Another beautiful autumn (felt like summer) day.  

We had a conversation with Adelyn's other grandfather, a Viet Nam veteran.  Jon and I sat in amazement at his story and experiences.  He was only 18 years old when he was sent there to "fight for his country" and experience the horrors of an unwinable war.  He's spent the last 40 years trying to recover.  

In extras we have uncle Joe, a little friend (he came in formal attire) and the  pretty table decorations.
