Old Calton Burial Ground

This morning I joined a tour around the New Calton Burial Ground listening to fascinating tales of some of the characters buried there. The event was organised by Edinburgh World Heritage as part of the Storytelling Festival that started today.  The 'new' burial ground was opened in 1820 as an extension to the Old Calton Burial Ground which I had a quick wander round afterwards.

Had a nice catch up with S over a leisurely lunch at the new 'Ivy on the Square'.
