Carisbrooke castle Donkeys

On my walk today I was lucky enough to see 2 of the donkeys these two are called Jigsaw this is the patchy one, and the other litttle one is Jill, there are 4 donkeys that take turns in walking the water wheel inside the Castle.
There are 4 donkeys and their names all begin with the letter 'J' this tradition goes back to Charles 1st when he was held prisoner in the castle, he used to sign his letters with the letter 'J' so for the last 150yrs all the Donkeys have been named with J and this tradition continues to be upheld.
Gypsy was not at all interested in looking at the donkeys!
