Golfers and Alligator

Today as this couple left the green to drive their golf cart to the next tee, they slowed down a bit as they noticed this big alligator near the cart path, but then they left rather hurriedly.  I am guessing the alligator here is at least eight feet long.  He looked large from where I could watch him as I zoomed in for the photo.  The lake surrounds several parts of the golf course, and there is a viewing platform near by to watch water creatures and birds.  The extra is a full view of the alligator with a greater crop of the total photo.  I am amazing when I see one because they look like they are truly from another era.
