Glentrool
We slept for almost 11 hours, and woke to an empty misty carpark with only the sound of the burn and the long tailed tits in the tree next to the van.
After coffee and breakfast, we set off on a walk around Loch Trool. This was 6 miles long and on the southern side of the loch, it followed part of the Southern Upland way long distance path. The head of the glen is where the Battle of Glentrool took place in 1307.
Back home afterwards, for sarah's last evening at home :-(
