Stormy weather

Very gloomy first thing, at 10am it was scarcely daylight. However, it did improve and we took Mum to Windermere for some shopping and lunch. The plan was to do a supermarket shop on the way home but by this time the weather had improved so we decided the shopping could wait and Mr Rat and I went for a walk.
The legs were okay, as long as we didn't try to hurry, and the weather was exhilarating, sunny, mild and very windy. Derwentwater was pretty full but there was room to walk without getting wet feet.
By the time we were back it had clouded over again and the rain began soon after with the wind getting very wild - we were glad to be indoors.
