Light and shade

After a grey morning it lightened up a bit so while Mr C sawed logs I had a 4 mile walk up through the woods, round the moor and back by the lower carriage drive. I had to climb over a few fallen silver birches on my way up, the result of storm Ophelia. Mr C will be off to investigate shortly - just to clear the path in a gesture of public goodwill of course, nothing to do with some free firewood.
