Ode To Old Buildings
Today a mate and I had planned a photography day trip somewhere. Up early I was disappointed it was finally raining but happy for the farmers. Nothing ventured, nothing gained I picked John up and we decided Tea Gardens was it. Driving through rain that required the wipers on most of the 2 hour drive we arrived and were relieved to find that the rain had stopped and it was only occasionally sprinkling. Parking at the end of the broadwalk we commenced photographing the myriad of boats on the water.
Suddenly this shed on water appeared and was definately in need of being photographed. A little further on affixed to a post was an explanation of how this come about. The support vehicle was a disused Oyster Barge upon which was erected this shed from corrugated iron, guttering and timber all of which had been recycled. The sign said it was an ode to all old buildings.
My second photo is the coloured version.
Returning home we drove through heavy rain all the way until 20 km from home when it stopped. Measured rainfall to date and only 8.5 mls to now certainly hasn't broken the drought in this area.
