Road Trip to Boston

Long 8 hr drive to Boston today. It was absolutely beautiful, perfect weather, stunning autumn colours and light traffic. We had a convoy going down and stopped halfway and had an amazing pot luck lunch together. We are all in the same hotel and met up for a fun pub dinner. I came across/cuddled 2 retired race greyhounds, 6 yr old Teddy & 2 yr old Maisie, such lovely, gentle souls, i didnt want to say goodbye to them. Diring our drive we listened to the Tom Petty Sirius radio station the whole way down. We are in mourning, both for Mr Petty but also at the huge loss of the amazing Canadian singer Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip. Such a loss, he was a passionate advocate and humanitarian, as well as artist.
