and now the deluge ...

Scary amounts of water fell today, making the roads into rivers. This is the field at the bottom of the hill after the Ilen broke its banks this afternoon.
I drove some friends to the airport first thing and the drive home was nightmarish. So much water.

Spent the afternoon trying to make the most of the subdued daylight then settled in to a fourth candlelit evening when joy of joys the power came back on!

Not getting complacent though, there's more bad weather on its way and some people have lost their power again already.
