autumn?

Looks like a summer scene, doesn't it?

I love the colours, even 'tho I say so myself. The blues. The whites.

I live a mile inland, a good bit uphill from this spot, and the sky was dark grey most of the day. Happens often.

It's not in shot, but just behind the houses in the background is the winding gear of the Frances Colliery - preserved as part of our local industrial heritage. Ironic on the day of court reports about the lavish perks Arthur Scargill awarded himself while leading the miners up a creek without the paddle.
