White-breasted Nuthatch
Thanks to the folks who stopped by yesterdays blip of the neat bird-watching bird wire sculpture.
This is only the second White-breasted nuthatch I've ever been able to photograph. It's a pretty common bird in North America. It usually can be found in mature deciduous forests. Nuthatches are fun to watch because they walk headfirst down trees and poles, like this one. Can't wait until I can lug my heavier camera and big lens up there so I can get closer to many of the birds in Madera Canyon.
