Hack @ Hursley Day 1

A different day of work for me (Annie) today. I have been running a hackathon for the company I work for, hosted brilliantly by IBM at their UK research centre in Hursley. It's part learning exercise, part coding challenge: we aim by the end of the two days to have developed a much better way of managing and encouraging the hundreds of thousands of hours per year our colleagues put into volunteering.

It's been great to see people step out of a more traditional method of software delivery and really embrace the speed of a hackathon. Hopefully a good fun time for all, with lessons learnt to take away too...

A long day - so a pint or two deserved afterwards.
