Helvellyn Trail Race.
The day started damp but the rain stopped by the time we'd driven to Penrith and there was even a hint of sun. The parking field at Glenridding was waterlogged so a bus was provided from Penrith (though it meant a rapid departure at the end of the day).
The race was pretty wet underfoot and a bit breezy in places but not cold (t-shirt and shorts) and, although competing in the quicker event, I wasn't last and was a bit quicker than last year. Mr Rat was 1st in his age category, I wasn't.
Some kids were making the most of the lake being pretty full.
